Country Heart Blends

It has been awhile since I've written in our weekly blog, guess it isn't really hasn't been a weekly blog. I promise to start doing better, especially with craft show season almost upon us.

So this week was a crazy baking week as we also were starting to but the walk way and deck onto the building so our gift shop can open soon. We started the building project on Wednesday and hope to finish it in the next few weeks.

I've had some time to be creative with my baking. It has been fun to experiment/create some new recipes. Last week we created a special "stadium brownie". A chocolate brownie topped with peanuts and popcorn tossed in melted marshmallows. This week a "peanutbutter lover's brownie" A peanutbutter chunk brownie with peanutbutter buttercream icing sprinkled with crushed peanuts.

We've also started gearing up for craft show season. The truck delivered many, many, many containers of different spices so I can start making dips. We were extremely low on spices so was very happy to receive my order this week. Never thought I would be happy to see chili powder, parsley, chives, and cilantro among other things to arrive at my door.
